Chennai Brave Jaguars are set to face the Northern Warriors in the 10th match of the 2024 Abu Dhabi T10 League. The Jaguars started their campaign with a disappointing loss, while the Warriors kicked things off with a dominant win. With their deep batting lineup, the Warriors appear to have the upper hand heading into this matchup.

Chennai Brave Jaguars have started their new season with a crushing loss to Deccan Gladiators. Batting first at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium, the Jaguars posted 140-2 on the board courtesy of terrific fifties from Rassie van der Dussen (62 off 29) and Chris Lynn (68* off 28). That wasn’t enough as the Gladiators easily overhauled the target with three balls remaining.
The Jaguars have a decent batting unit but lack some young firepower. Their batting heavily relies on Van der Dussen, Lynn, and captain Thisara Perera.
We are also expecting some quick runs down the order from Bhanuka Rajapaksa.
The Jaguars don’t have many strong bowling options. Nuwan Thushara, Matiullah Khan, and Sabir Ali Rao can get some wickets, but they will also leak runs. Akila Dananjaya and Thisara Perera will also be targeted as they are the weak links.

Northern Warriors secured a convincing win in their season opener against Delhi Bulls. After restricting them to a below-par 109-6, the Warriors chased down the target with one over and seven wickets remaining. Johnson Charles top-scored with a superb unbeaten knock of 54 off 25 balls. Sherfane Rutherford (20* off 10) also played a useful cameo to finish things off.
The Warriors have a stacked batting lineup this year. Finn Allen, Colin Munro, and Brandon King are their tip three and can take them to a flying start. In the middle order, they have Johnson Charles and Sherfane Rutherford to keep up the attack. All-rounder Azmatullah Omarzai too can pack a punch.
The Warriors’ bowling makes them doubly dangerous. Trent Boult will take the new ball and you can always back him to get some early wickets. Fareed Ahmad and Azmatullah Omarzai are bankable choices to keep.

Sheikh Zayed Stadium offers a great batting wicket, but it has something in it for the bowlers as well. There will be some movement on offer for the fast bowlers with the new ball, while spinners will be effective if they can bowl tight lines. However, batters will enjoy playing here for the most part.
The weather will be clear and warm with no chance of rain to disrupt the game.

The average score batting first in the Abu Dhabi T10 League at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium is 107. The short boundaries and batting pitch will allow the batters to smash plenty of fours and sixes. The team batting first will be targeting a score of around 120 runs.
At the time of writing, all four matches played at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in this year’s Abu Dhabi T10 League have been won by the chasing team. This record will surely prompt both captains to field first here.
Northern Warriors showed in their first game that they are the team to beat this year with a robust batting unit and a solid bowling attack. Chennai Brave Jaguars lack that firepower in their batting and their bowling doesn’t look good enough to stop a strong batting team. We are hence backing Northern Warriors to dominate this match.
Back Northern Warriors as the winners of this match.
