Some teams just know how to get the job done and after a bit of a wobble with their form earlier in the tournament, Deccan Gladiators look like being one of those sides. The 2022 Abu Dhabi T10 Champions do not look like they are in any hurry to give up the title and they will be targeting top spot in the table with a win in this game.
Although Northern Warriors have not picked up a victory since Match 6, such is the congestion in the table that they begin Tuesday only two points from the team in first! Confidence is clearly low in the squad but there are some experienced heads who will know that it will just take one good over with the bat or the ball to get them flying again in this tournament.

Andre Russell was rolling back the years in Deccan Gladiators' 10 wicket win over The Chennai Braves on Sunday as he took the Player of the Match Award thanks to his bowling figures of 2/12. The award could probably have gone to any of the bowling unit who all took at least one wicket and bowled well as a group. They have now set the bar and they all need to keep it up in this and all other future games if they are to retain their title from last year.
Only two batters were required against The Chennai Braves with Tom Kohler-Core continuing his highly impressive tournament with 44 not out from 19 balls and skipper Nicholas Pooran contributing an unbeaten 35 from 19 balls. The form of Pooran will be a worry for Northern Warriors as he can be so destructive when he gets going.

Chasing 138 to beat Bangla Tigers on Sunday, Northern Warriors looked to be on track with Kennar Lewis smashing 22 runs from 9 balls and fellow opener Hazratullah Zazai continuing his brilliant individual tournament with 57 runs from 20 balls. But the team came up 3 runs short and that will have been so hard to take for the side who had already lost their previous two games!
There is plenty of power and ability in the batting department for Northern Warriors but the bowlers really need to be on their game in this match. They were the reason they lost their last fixture with five of the six used returning economy rates of between 11 and 18! James Neesham took 2/22 in the last game and the New Zealander may have to produce even better than that if Northern Warriors are going to trouble the batters of Deccan Gladiators.

No rain is forecast during this game and we expect the match to be played under cloudless evening skies. The temperature is unlikely to drop below 27 degrees across this fixture in Abu Dhabi.

Make no mistake about it, this is still an excellent pitch for batting on. However, with the end of the group stage in sight, points are becoming crucial and some teams will need to take more chances than others. A par total on this wicket remains upwards of 100.
Northern Warriors have batted first twice and fielded first once across their current losing run so we can expect them to want to field first in this match. If Deccan Gladiators win the toss, we don't think they will be able to resist putting the Warriors in to bat first.
The beauty of T10 cricket is that fortunes can be turned around very quickly and that is a hope that Northern Warriors will be clinging onto ahead of this match. Their performances have not been bad but getting over the finish line has proved impossible for them over the last three games. Unfortunately for the Warriors, the Gladiators are in no mood to ease off and we are predicting a win for Deccan Gladiators on Tuesday.
