The first T20I swung massively in England's favour during their batting powerplay in the first innings before West Indies were able to restrict them to 171 all out and then proceeded to knock off the runs with 11 balls and 4 wickets to spare.
However, there are still four more matches to play in this series and England will be hoping that a change of island and venue will bring a change in fortune after successive defeats, one ODI and one T20I, in Barbados.
But the hosts will turn up in Grenada full of confidence after taking the ODI series 2-1 and with plenty of self-belief that they can go 2-0 up in this five match contest.
Although England's white ball form has certainly dipped over the last 12 months, the opposition needs to put in a strong performance for at least three-quarters of a T20I to beat them and that is exactly what West Indies did in their last match.
Ahead of this T20I, Rovman Powell will be looking to his opening bowlers to strike early and not allow the likes of Phil Salt and Jos Buttler to get off to a flyer again. However, even if they do, he will know that with the experience of Andre Russell and form of Romario Shepherd to fall back on, that his side can turn it around again.
With the bat, West Indies showed that you do not need a batter to hit over 36 to chase down a target of 172! They have plenty of powerful batters in strong form ahead of this T20I.

In spite of seeing their side succumb to another white ball defeat on Tuesday, there were plenty of positives for England's fans to take from the T20I loss in Barbados.
Firstly, Phil Salt and Jos Buttler showed that England can get on top of bowling attacks without losing wickets with Salt particularly impressive with his 20-ball 40. Runs for Buttler should also not be understated as the skipper has been under pressure and his six boundaries will have done his confidence no harm.
Secondly, the England spin pair of the youthful Rehan Ahmed and the veteran Adil Rashid bowled in tandem and to good effect in Barbados. Even though this wicket may not suit spinners quite as much, both are more than capable of still causing plenty of problems.

Both the ODI and the T20I in Barbados were interrupted by rain but there should no such problems in Grenada on Thursday. Humid conditions are certainly forecast but no rain is expected across the entirety of the day.
The curator at this ground is often able to produce a hard and solid pitch which allows for good carry for the bowlers. Batters will be able to trust the bounce of the ball on the surface and a par score is likely to be over 180.
Teams batting first have won six of the last seven T20Is at the National Cricket Stadium, Grenada so most pundits expect to see the skipper who wins the toss choose to bat first and post a total.
This looks set to be a cracking contest with England desperate to level the series and West Indies keen to show that they will be a force to be reckoned with at next year's T20 World Cup. We expect to see England's performance improve with both bat and ball, and, although we are anticipating a close fixture, our winning prediction goes to England in Grenada.
We are backing England to win this match.
