Bangladesh Women will face a tough challenge in this game as they take on India Women in the first game of the five-match. They have struggled in recent months and suffered a whitewash at the hands of the visiting Australians. The Indian team also lost against Australia in their last home series and shall look to regain form with a win.

Bangladesh Women Preview

Nigar Sultana's side lost to the Australians 0-3 at home earlier this month. The side failed to put up a challenge in that series, and the Bangladeshi skipper would expect a better show from her players. They don’t have a good record against the Indians, and the players must pull up their socks and do well to win this game.  

Dilara Akter and Murshida Khatun didn’t do well against Australia, and they must take on the bowlers at the top. The middle order must build partnerships, and the team will expect a good show from Nigar Sultana. Sobhana Mostary and Fahima Khatun. Shorna Akter and Nahida Akter will look to add quick runs toward the end of the innings.  

The bowling attack has struggled with its form in recent games. Marufa Akter and Nahida Akter must pick wickets with the new ball to trouble the Indians. Sultana Khatun, Rabeya Khan, and Fahima Khatun must check the scoring rate in the middle overs. Shorifa Khatun and Shorna Akter need to do well in the ing role.

Harmanpreet Kaur's side lost the last T20 series against Australia Women at home, and the side will look to take an early lead in the five-match series. They enjoyed a good record against Bangladesh Women, and Kaur would like her players to take inspiration from that. Bangladesh won’t be easy to beat, and Kaur shall expect a clinical show from her players.  

Smriti Mandhana and Shafali Varma form a strong opening pair and look to deliver a confident start. Dayalan Hemalatha, Harmanpreet Kaur, and Richa Ghosh have a lot of experience and the side will expect a strong show from them. Deepti Sharma, Amanjot Kaur, and Pooja Vastrakar add firepower to the team’s batting in the lower middle order.    

Renuka Thakur Singh and Titas Sadhu must pick early wickets as the Bangladeshi top order is good. Shreyanka Patil and Pooja Vastrakar will look to bowl tight spells in the middle overs and put the opposition on the back foot.
