Their batting has been pretty ordinary although many players in the team have averages over 25. Bowling is no different, with Jacob Duffy the only real, stand-out performer in the team, whose tally this season reads an impressive 23 wickets from 5 games.
Middling performances guarantee average results at best and there's no surprise why Otago are now languishing in the bottom of the table just a couple of points in front of Auckland. A turnaround is all they need to infuse some energy into their campaign but at the moment it looks like the players are just waiting for things to happen.
