RCB are on a roll this season. They’ve been exceptional under the new captain, and their star batsman, Virat Kohli, has also found his mojo this year. With Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Josh Hazlewood, and Krunal Pandya in the bowling attack, RCB have done away with all their bowling woes from previous seasons.
CSK, on the other hand, are having a season to forget. MS Dhoni hasn’t flourished and delivered as expected of him in the finisher’s role. The franchise didn’t make the right decisions in the auction either.
The squad strength isn’t that great, and even with MSD at the helm of affairs, the 5-time champions continue to struggle this year. There have been very poor batting performances from the men in yellow.
RCB’s bowling attack would be too strong for the CSK batters, and we reckon Rajat Patidar and co. will get to their second home win of the season in this match.

It has taken RCB some time to get their combinations right. Even with a star-studded side in the past, they would fail to deliver consistently. When they made it to the playoffs, they would collapse in the knockout games.
The major issue with this team was the lack of reliable Indian players in the side and over-reliance on overseas stars. Rajat Patidar has led RCB from the front and has found new match-winners.
RCB are no longer dependent on Kohli. Devdutt Padikkal, back in RCB colors, has been in fine touch, and we expect him to deliver big at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
Rajat Patidar comes in at number 4 and never lets the momentum fade away. His ability to strike the ball from the get-go makes him a special player. The batting lineup goes deep with Krunal Pandya, Tim David, and Jitesh Sharma in the lower middle order.
Jitesh Sharma is another great find and has the confidence to be a finisher. He’s a reliable batter and will be one to watch out for in this match. RCB will be delighted with their bowling strength this year.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar brings in experience, and his ability to move the new ball back into the right-handers is unmatched. Josh Hazlewood is a match-winning bowler who’s been among the top wicket-takers in IPL 2025.
Padikkal has scores of 0, 50, 61 & 40* in the last four matches. He has been consistent this season for RCB and has made key partnerships alongside Virat Kohli. Padikkal is also the 3rd highest run-scorer for RCB this season with 230 runs in 9 matches.
Virat Kohli has scored 443 runs in 10 matches, averaging 63.28. At Bengaluuru in 2025 his stats are - 100 runs in 4 matches, he has had three scores of under 25 to begin with, but in the last match he scored 70 runs against the Rajasthan Royals. Given his current form and record at Bengaluru, we predict Kohli's score to be over 32 runs.

The Chennai Super Kings are having one of their worst IPL seasons ever. It is not just the number of matches they’ve lost, but the way they’ve played so far. They have lacked the winning spirit and looked stuck in the old ways of playing T20 cricket.
There are structural issues as far as the squad strength is concerned. And then there is the way CSK players go about their business on the field. The bowling attack isn’t impressive at all.
Mathisha Patheerana, who was a match-winner for CSK in previous seasons, has been out of form for quite some time. And that has hurt CSK a lot this year.
Khaleel Ahmed, who’s played 67 IPL matches, hasn’t really made a big impact this season. He’s had a few good outings, but overall, he’s not threatened the opposition as much.
Spinners R Ashwin and R Jadeja are the senior pros in this side. Noor Ahmed was impressive in the early games, but the spin-bowling attack also faltered as the season progressed.
At the moment, there aren’t many reliable or in-form bowlers in the side. Khaleel Ahmed will be a key player, and we expect him to deliver breakthroughs in this game.
The batting lineup is deep and features some quality batters. But the approach hasn’t been right and that’s what’s keeping CSK from delivering impactful performances.
Sam Curran played a blinder of a knock against Punjab Kings in the last match scoring 88 runs in 47 balls. So far he has had a pretty disappointing season, but a good performance in the last match might have boosted his confidence heading into tonight's fixture against CSK. we predict an impactful knock from the southpaw and predict his score to be over 20 runs.
Brevis has made an impact since his arrival, he has has scored 74 runs in 2 matches, striking at 145.09. He is a geniune six hitter and the conditions at Bengaluru do favour the batters. Expect Brevis to continue his good run of form and score over 17 runs.
Shaik Rasheed, Ayush Mhatre, Sam Curran, Ravindra Jadeja, Dewald Brevis, Shivam Dube, Deepak Hooda, MS Dhoni (c & wk), Noor Ahmad, Khaleel Ahmed, Matheesha Pathirana, Anshul Kamboj

Light rain is expected in Bengaluru with a high of 24 degrees Celsius around the match time. We can expect a few overs to be reduced if the game continues after rain stops. However, it looks unlikely that we would have a toss given the weather forecast.

Average TurnThe pitch at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium is a batting paradise. It will be quite tricky for the bowlers to contain the flow of runs. Expect pacers to deliver slower deliveries from the back of the wrist to pick wickets on this pitch. The average 1st innings score in the last 4 matches here is 158 runs. However, a match-winning total would be something over 200 runs at this venue.
We predict the visitors Chennai Super Kings (CSK) to win the coin toss in match 52 of Tata IPL 2025.
Teams bowling first have won 3 of the 4 IPL matches at this venue so far. The ground is a delight for teams batting second, and we’ve witnessed many high-scoring thrillers where teams have chased down big totals over the years.
RCB are way too strong for the current CSK side. Their bowling attack features some of the best in business who’ve been in fine touch lately. CSK are likely to change their playing XI to give others in the squad some game time. RCB will have the upper hand in this match and will start as clear favorites in our match prediction.
