Victoria beat Rangpur Riders by 10 runs
Three totals above 200 were scored at Providence Stadium in this year’s Caribbean Premier League, with the highest being 219-8. However, the pitches in this competition have been on the slower side and high scores are unlikely.
We are picking Victoria as the winners of this contest.

Victoria beat Guyana Amazon Warriors by 4 wickets
166/6 in 19.2 8.59
Rangpur Riders’ first match of the GSL turned out to be quite a thrilling contest. They bowled Hampshire out for 132 and in pursuit of the target were themselves restricted to 132-8. The game went to the Super Over, which Hampshire eventually won.
The Riders would be hoping for a better batting performance as none of the batters made a substantial score in the previous match. Soumya Sarkar, Steven Taylor, Nurul Hasan, and Khushdil Shah all got starts but could not convert it into anything big.
Nurul Hasan and Soumya Sarkar are good picks as they are used to batting on such slow pitches. Wayne Madsen is another player worth backing as he has a wealth of experience with close to 5,000 T20 runs.
Zak Chappell was the star of the bowling unit in the previous match with astounding figures of 5.23 from 4 overs. The likes of Rishad Hossain, Harmeet Singh, and Mahedi Hasan will also do well on this wicket.

Victoria managed a strong 4-wicket win over hosts Guyana Amazon Warriors. While chasing 167, they were at 96-5 at one stage, before Scott Edwards (31 off 25) and Karima Gore (36* off 24) guided them home.
This win signals to other teams that Victoria are serious contenders and shouldn't be underestimated.
Captain Corey Anderson is expected to lead from the front. Although he is past his prime, Anderson still has over 3,200 T20 runs at a strike rate of 133 along with 44 wickets.
Joe Clarke and Jonathan Wells are solid options as well who can make decent contributions here. Then there is Scott Edwards from the Netherlands as well who can hold end up as he showed in the previous game.
Victoria’s bowling doesn’t look too impressive. They will have to rely on Callum Stow and Jackson Smith to get the breakthroughs. Dominic Drakes is a decent option too. The rest of the lineup might struggle here.

You can usually expect a pretty good batting surface at Providence Stadium, but it's the kind that slows down later on. Spinners tend to find something in this wicket, which means Rishad Hossain, Callum Stow, and Mahedi Hasan have a good chance to make an impact.
The weather in Guyana will be partly cloudy with some chance of rain in the morning, which could impact the game.

The average first innings score at Providence Stadium is 154. In this year’s L, the highest total posted at the venue was 219-8 by Guyana Amazon Warriors against Barbados Royals. They won that match by 47 runs. The team batting first will look to set a target of around 150-160 runs.
Batting first is usually the better choice at Providence Stadium and we reckon both teams will look to bat first here.
Rangpur Riders may have lost their first match, but they showed a lot of heart and shouldn't be too disheartened. Their bowlers are well-suited to the slow pitch and could give Victoria’s batters a tough time. Victoria, on the other hand, are riding high after beating the hosts. However, their top order looks a bit vulnerable, and the lower order might not always step up. Despite these concerns, Victoria’s win against a strong team makes them the better choice for this matchup.
We are picking Victoria as the winners of this contest.
